| PROFLEX PRF - Trunnion Transfer Machine |

PROFLEX is a horizontal spindle ("trunnion" type) transfer machine with sliding headstock, gathering advantages of transfer machines and turning centers.
Having a tailored flexibility for specific requirements, it is offered in various modular configurations, easily reconfigured for future process demands.
Maintenance friendly, it is built in an ergonomic five station version, allowing the operator to access the whole structure and to have all tooling and fixtures within arms length.
It maintains the unique cleaning ability of the horizontal spindle ("trunnion") style machines, due to very fast chip extraction to guarantee the best machine repeatability and reliability.
While the PROFLEX is well suited for the machining of parts from bar stock, its modularity makes it suitable for machining blanks, pre-cut parts or castings, both small and medium sized.
Excellent flexibility (all units are CNC), matches with the high output and accuracy typical of transfer machines, all at competitive costs versus machining and turning centers. |

A - Sliding headstock PROFLEX with feeding System for revolving bar
Suitable for live turning of small and medium sized parts (bars up to Ø 36 mm) with 27 CNC axis, tooled as follows:
- when machining one part per cycle the machine has a maximum of 26 high frequency spindles equipped with revolving tools and one carriage equipped with 4 non-revolving tools (for the live turning operations)
- when machining two parts per cycle the machine has a maximum of 24 high frequency spindles with revolving tools and one carriage for a total number of 6 non-revolving tools (for the live turning operations)

B - PROFLEX with feeding system for non-revolving bar or for coil
Bar stock is fed directly into chuck, using CNC for control of the cut-off length. The machine has 23 CNC axis and can be tooled for machining one or two parts per cycle with a maximum of 28 high frequency spindles and one cut-off spindle.
Parts can be stamped direct on the machine (Work-unit model UM) |

C - PROFLEX for blanks (die-casting, cold headed, or pre-machined parts)
Parts are loaded and unloaded using the chuck at station 5, using a small 6-axis robot integrated within the machine base.
The machine has 25 CNC axis and can be tooled for machining one part or two parts per cycle, and can have up to 32 high frequency spindles. |

| Slide Module |
The slide module consists of three axis driven by brushles motor and recirculating ball bearing screw.
Axis strokes are 220/100/100 respectively for the x-, y-, and z-axis. The z-axis can accept high frequency spindles mounted either vertically or horizontally.
The choice of equipping the machine exclusively with high frequency spindles has resulted in using only one type of module so making the transfer structure even more flexible.
The maximum axis speed is 30 m/min and their acceleration is 5 m/s². |
