| MULTIWAY BR 16 |

The Multiway BR 16/BL-CA broaching machine broaches the key sections into plug bodies which are used in cylinders and padlocks. Prior to broaching the plugs are oriented using the pre-drilled pin-holes.
Broaching is performed using a fixed horizontal broach with recirculating fixtures.
Each plug is mounted into a carriage where side clamping jaws hold the plug in a correctly oriented position.
Carriages slide along precision ground and hardened guideways using a continuosly recirculating chain supported by two pinions.
Broaching is done using coolant (oil or emulsion).
Plugs are automatically oriented and loaded into the moving carriages through the "CA" unit.
The automatic loading unit is suitable for different plug diameters and different plug lengths up to 60 mm.
Plugs are automatically unloaded into a chute.
The "SR" (fast changeover) version of this machine is available upon request.
The quick clamp/unclamp system allows entire broaches or broach segments to be changed very quickly. This feature is particularly interesting when frequent broach profile changeovers are
required and machine flexibility is more important than high output.
